Flying in to Burgas Airport

Flying into Burgas airport is the most convenient option. From Switzerland, unfortunately, there are not many flights to Burgas. You can travel from Basel Airport as well as from Zurich Airport. We would definitely compare options from both airports. From Basel there are direct flights with Bulgarian Air Charter. From Zurich you have to fly with one stop. From Germany and Russia it has several options.

If you are traveling from Germany, you have numerous good flight connections from Berlin to Burgas espacially with Easyjet and Sundair.

For those traveling from Russia, Burgas is the best airport to arrive. From Moscow there are daily direct flights with S7 Airlines.
 

Flying in to Sofia Airport

From Switzerland it has the best flight connections to Sofia. There are direct flights with Bulgaria Air from Zurich and direct flights with Wizzair from Basel. Unfortunately, there are not daily direct flights, so check out the options with transfers as well.
If you are traveling to Sofia, we recommend that you arrive on Friday morning and leave on Monday at the earliest.
Depending on how many guests arrive in Sofia, we will organize a bus from Sofia to Burgas leaving Friday afternoon (time will follow).
For those who are planning beach vacations afterwards, we recommend renting a car. All major rent-a-car providers are present on the Bulgarian airports. We recommend you to stick to using the international brands (Hertz, Europa, Sixt etc.) There is also public transport by bus or train from Sofia to Burgas. Tickets can be bought here.

Flying in to Varna Airport

Varna airport can also be approached. There are cheap flights to Varna from Germany and Russia. For those traveling from Switzerland, we recommend flying to Sofia or Burgas.
From Varna you can reach Burgas by public transport. Tickets can be bought here. The other option would be to rent a car.
